Sep. 6, 2002 Opportunities for Graduate Studies in Ecological Engineering at Ohio State University

The Ecological Engineering group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Geodetic Science (CEEGS) at the Ohio State University has funding available for two Master’s candidates in Ecological Engineering beginning Winter Quarter 2003. Students will work on a project in dam removal and river restoration in coastal watersheds and will be part of a team involved in field measurements of flows, geomorphology, fish habitat, as well as modeling using a GIS based river model. A B.S. degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering is highly desirable, but other backgrounds, such as oceanography, geology, math, physics, will also be considered.

Please Email a resume and a letter of interest to: Dr. Tim Granata (granata.6@osu.edu)

Applications for Graduate Students can be found at http://www-afa.adm.ohio-state.edu/grad/index.html. Students with GPA of 3.5 or more and high scores on the GRE may also qualify for a University Fellowship.

May 8, 2002 Seminar: Praxiserfahrungen mit Techniken für "abwasserfreie" Häuser - Beispiele, Einsatzbereiche, rechtliche und wirtschaftliche Aspekte [in German]

18. Juni 2002, 09:00-17:00
Ort: Universität Hannover, Senatssitzungssaal, Welfengarten 1, 30167 Hannover

Veranstalter:
Technische Akademie Hannover e.V.
Deichmannstr. 1; 30163 Hannover
Fon: 0511/39433-30
Fax: 0511/394 33-40
http://www.ta-hannover.de

Seminarbeschreibung:
